Hi to all,
just to let you know, we still are creating and releasing new mods for old SimBin and ISI games ;)

Actual 2017 releases:

Le Mans Classics mod 1.0 - released for GT Legends (may 2017), currently under conversion into GTR2.
A historic Le Mans multi car add-on presenting various late 60s * early 70s sports cars.

Hi everyone,

I have been a F1 Challenge '99-'02 modder since 2007. I'm fond of sharing some stuff with you (regardless if I do modding for private purposes).

This community... albeit small, I find it incredible with its talented and passionate modders.

I want to share with you my contributions to this topic. Here it is the Force Feedback Guide by Julien Regnard, with way more advanced information in parameter setup added by me, plus extra information by Shovas, and some FFB setup files...

Some years ago, on the old PC, I had a tool which was able to design the track layout simply reading the .aiw file of that track.
Unfortunately that old PC crashed and I don't have a backup copy of the installation file for that tool.
I don't remember the name of the tool, but probably I have downloaded it from Nogripracing.
Is there someone who knows the tool I'm looking for..?

Program to extract info from replay files (car, circuit, # of opponents, online/offline, etc.)

Is there a program that can tell me information about replay files? I have hundreds of replay files but the majority of them are offline. I want to be able to find out which replays are online because I want to watch those and am not interested in watching my offline races. Loading up each replay 1 by 1 will take forever. Is there any program that can help me with this?

Will a mod made Originally for GTR2 work well in Power and Glory?

Got Power and Glory going in a clean install, very pleased with it. I'm wondering if I can add a historic racing mod or two into Power and Glory. I've installed Borek's excellent Le Mans Classic mod, but if I take a mod originally done for GTR2, (I'm thinking of the WEC 1970 mod), and drop it into Power and Glory, will there be any issues?

Ambient Lighting

Is there a way to brighten the ambient lighting on tracks? Been racing on the VLM 1977/1979 tracks and it so dark that it is difficult to see, even in midday light. Or do I just need new glasses? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reinstalling GTR2 - best approach?

Hi,

I decided to reinstall this old beauty and am wondering if there is an accepted way to get the best out of her. Should I install the Anniversary patch and then start adding in HQ mods? Just the Anniversary patch? Just the various HQ mods? Something else?

Sorry, it's a bit befuddling coming back to this and seeing so many options now available. Huge thanks to everyone who has been putting in hours to maintain and improve this legend of a game.

Almost 13 years on from release, does GTR2 still have what it takes to entertain sim racing fans in 2019?

Many considered GTR2 to be one of the all time sim racing greats when it released back in 2006, however plenty of time has passed since those glory days of this sims early life - leaving me to wonder if the title still has what it needs to hold water with some of the more modern racing games of today.

GTR2 1975 F1 mod?

Has a proper version of a 1975 F1 mod ever been released for GTR2? I've tried a 3 part download I found on the web and it's structure is scrambled to say the least, and it CTD's every time I try to load it. I've installed the F1 Seven 1975 demo and while it runs and looks good, I can't complete a lap in it because of the odd physics. Is there a happy compromise or a working version out there somewhere?

As far as I know, GTR2 is available in... nine languages?

Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Czech and Polish.

(The game is not fully translated to Russian as far as I know).

About the Hud collection... could be available in Czech and Polish languages in that patch?

Part of Donington National is missing.

Hi all, I have noticed that part of the SimBin vanilla Donington National track is missing.

When I look back behind my car, as I get further away from part of the track it seems a hole develops, but the hole looks like a reflection of scenery. It happens at two places. This is the only track where it happens.

What could be causing this? I have the latest AMD drivers, I have a 2GB AMD Radeon R9 270 and I set the game's exe to run as an administrator and under compatibility settings for...
