Engine does not stall when I stopped the car. (manual shifting )

In real world, when driving a manual gear shifting car, if one stop the car without gear shifting to N nor press clutch, the engine will stall.
Rfactor and LFS simulate this feature, but GTR2 seems not.
Do you know how to enable this feature in GTR2?

AMD FX 6350, 6 Cores @3.9 GHZ

Is there a way to control the menus in GTR2 with a gamepad? It's not something that bugs me but I'd like to control selections via the controller and not the keyboard

Freezing

I'm stumped.

I can successfully run Rfactor, Race 07 and GTR EVOLUTION on my Linx vision 8 (the one with xbox controller dock) tablet.

All these games run perfectly on high settings.

Now I've installed GTR2 on steam and the game freezes but with sound on loop after about 5 minutes?

This happens with or without the latest anniversary patch.

I'm am going away with work next week and wanted to take my sims with me.

The specs are

Intel Atom x5-Z8300 @ 1.44Ghz
2gb Ram
Intel HD on...

Unable to assign controls to my pedal and wheel

I understand this is an old title. Back in the day, GTR2 was my all time favorite racing sim. I recently installed the title via Steam. I am unable to assign controls like steering, brakes, etc. I am running a T300 Thrustmaster and Fanatic Clubsport v3 pedals. In the controls panel I can see the pedal and wheel as controller 1 and 3, but they are not functioning in the sim.

Is there a patch or mod to solve this issue?

CTD Problem

I have a strange problem with my game crashing when loading a Championship I created. The strange thing is the game loads fine in Race Weekend mode, but when in Championship mode, using the exact same cars, it crashes. Here is part of my trace file:

Hidden Keys in GTR2 (usefull things to know)

Posting this mainly for the newcomers to the game, following a similar thread in NoGrip.
There are some "hidden" keys in the game which, I suppose, the more veteran players of GTR2 are already well aware of.
Many of these keys are referenced in the 'Training' section of GTR2, so they aren't all really "hidden keys" but, well, there you go.
Of course, the following applies only to the default controls and key/bindings assignments (which you can change/reassign as you like)....

Virtua LM Group C Mod

Hi,

I've tried searching but not had much luck.

I used to love playing the Group C mod by the Virtua LM team on F1 Challenge.

I see that someone did convert it to run on GTR2 but I can't seem to find a suitable working link.

Can anyone help me find one that still works!

First, yes there are some threads addressing this issue, older threads, but none of the usual answers are solving the problem.

AI driving clean through walls.

OK. Here's a video link and at 4:05 -4:06 you can clearly see an AI go off track through the wall and back through it to come on track. As if the wall is not there..
. What's more at that point there are four walls. The cement track wall. The tyre barrier, the tyre binding barrier, and an invisible...

Even using changeable weather, the weather will not change during the race it will be always sunny, does anyone know how to fix this?

So since NoGrip went down a lot of skins got lost in the process and I've finally come up with the ultimate way to try to recover and preserve as much of them as we can.

First of all, sorry if this question was already addressed by other thread, but Ive searching for a solution in ages and I can`t find one. I bought a t300rs and Im trying to set it with all simbin games without success. The issue is my brake/throttle pedals act weird as I was pressing them all the time, and my clutch has no response. This is specially notable with GTL, and Ive been trying everything, doing a lot of reading but I can`t find a way to set it to work properly. If someone know a...

Howdy folks,

I wanted to share my settings that I feel makes for a great driving experience with the controller. This is playing without mods, so I can't speak for how well it will work with different car mods. I use a program called Lavendy which converts force feedback into controller vibration from here: http://lavendy.net/special/driver/xi/index.html

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to use original GTR2 mods in my Power & Glory installation? I would like to try some of the historic cars on modern tracks or modern cars on older tracks...
Could I just get a fresh install of GTR2, install P&G in it and then add all mods into that?
Edit: alternatively, can i use P&G cars & tracks in GTR2 since both games are based on the same engine and files?

Night Lights on a track?

I'd like to add night lights to the YETISAJ Le Mans track. Specifically the pitlane.
A small part of it is already lit, so I thought I could just copy that in SimEd, but I can't really find anything there. Same goes for the trk file. I tried to look at original tracks to see what's done there, but I'm afraid it's a bit beyond me.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
